Financial Aid Process 


The Montessori School of Greater Hartford offers limited, need-based financial aid. The school endeavors to meet the demonstrated need of as many accepted mission appropriate families as possible, and aims to create a balanced, vibrant school community with full enrollment at all levels. The financial aid budget is funded by monies earmarked in the operating budget and augmented by monies raised through Development, namely the Annual Fund and the MSGH Annual Auction.

Families who wish to apply for financial aid can apply online. MSGH uses Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) by Independent School Management (ISM) to help process financial aid applications. FAST provides a need-based financial aid analysis service, and furnishes the school with a report, which outlines a family’s financial need, based on the information provided.  All information is kept strictly confidential.

Once complete, the application will be available almost immediately for the Financial Aid Committee’s review. The Committee aims to notify families of their financial aid award, before requiring them to return an enrollment contract.

Financial aid awards are made on a year-to-year basis and families must file a new application each year. 

Financial aid applications for the 2012/13 school year can be submitted starting December 2011.

The deadline for receipt of applications is February 15, 2012.

The application process is self-guided. You may navigate in and out of the program allowing you to partially complete an application and go back to it at another time. The charge for the application is $36 and is paid by credit card at the end of the session.

After completing the online application, you will be required to mail your tax returns for state & federal taxes with all schedules and W-2’s to:

FAST Processing, 1316 North Union Street, Wilmington, DE 19806-2594.

Large pre-addressed envelopes are available from the Admissions Office. Including the School’s name on the outside of the envelope will ensure faster processing of your application.
