Risa Brophy
Upper Elementary Assistant
"I like the way Montessori addresses the whole person and helps children build skills that can be used throughout life. It is a true privilege to be able to help children as they develop themselves, and I like helping to make that process as positive as possible."

Risa joined the MSGH community in 2005 as the assistant to the Upper Elementary Classroom. Prior to her time at MSGH, Risa worked at The Cobb School Montessori, where she supported students as an Assistant in the Toddler and After-Care programs, and as a substitute in the Primary and Elementary programs. She has also worked for Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she ran a wellness program serving more than 7,000 employees.

Risa holds a BS in Health and Fitness from Springfield College and continues to pursue practitioner training in the field of Medical Qi Gong, a field related to Tai Chi, which she has practiced and taught for over 20 years.

In addition to her Tai Chi practice, she enjoys art, singing, and playing guitar.
