Jacki Romano
Learning Specialist
"Coming Soon "

Jacki Romano, MSGH’s learning specialist, has been teaching parenting workshops since the 1990’s, and Positive Discipline, in particular, since 2000. During this time, she has presented countless workshops for teachers, parents, school administrators, PTA’s and Woman’s Clubs throughout CT, NY and Chicago. Besides general “Positive Discipline” classes, some of Jacki’s other workshops are more specific,  including “Positive Discipline for Preschoolers,” “Positive Discipline for Adolescents,” “Positive Discipline for Children with ADHD,” “Positive Discipline for Children with Learning Disabilities.”

With a lower elementary certification from American Montessori Society, Jacki has also taught in Montessori schools in CT since 1986 in a variety of capacities: primary class assistant, lower elementary assistant, school music teacher (primary through middle school), lower elementary co-teacher (with focus on reading, organization and spelling), upper elementary literature guide, and learning specialist.

Parents find Jacki’s parenting classes to be not only practical and informative, but also great fun as they practice new skills. Many parents find their “forever friends” through these workshops. Attendees from two workshops from the 1990s and early 2000s have continued their group meetings on a monthly basis without a facilitator, following Positive Discipline principles, right up to the present time. Their children are either in college or entering college; these parents have come together throughout all stages of their children’s lives to continue practicing kindness, firmness and respect within their families.
