Jessica Bona
Primary Two Teacher
"One of my favorite things about a Montessori education is that it is founded on the assumption that each child is unique, and learns and develops in his or her own way. I’m thrilled to be starting another year at MSGH."

Jessica joined the MSGH community in 2011 as an assistant in the Primary Two Classroom and in 2012 began as the head teacher. She came to MSGH with a strong background in psychology and organizational communication, and has demonstrated commitment to children’s health and wellness. She served as a mental health counselor at the Hartford Dispensary for two years after holding a variety of academic research positions in the field of substance abuse, and as part of that work, was published in the American Journal of Addictions. She also served as a teaching assistant for CREC Soundbridge, assisting in the mainstreaming of pre-school children with cochlear implants.

Jessica completed her AMI Primary Training in 2012 at the Montessori Training Center of New England. She holds her a BA in Psychology and a BS in Organizational Communication from Ithaca College in New York, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.
