Robin Jaffee
Upper Elementary Teacher
"I am thrilled to be joining the MSGH community because everyone is committed to the same ideal: Education as an aid to life. Both the parent and staff involvement and desire to provide the best Montessori experience is inspiring. I look forward to being part of this community as it heads towards its 50th anniversary."

Robin joins the MSGH community this year and brings with her over 25 years of Montessori experience. Robin comes to us from The Cobb School Montessori, where she taught at the Upper Elementary level for seven years. Prior to her work at Cobb, she was on staff at the Montessori School in Wilton, first as the Lower Elementary teacher then as the school's Learning Strategist.  At the Whitby School in Greenwich, she was the Upper Elementary teacher, and during her time there she was trained by Margaret Stevenson at the Washington Montessori Institute. She has also been an educational consultant for the Rose Kennedy Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and co-owner of a company that designed hand-made Montessori materials.  Robin is an avid ice skater and instructs at the Simsbury Park and Recreation Department and the International Skating Center of Connecticut.

She holds a BA in Geology from the University of Vermont with a Secondary VT Certification for Sciences and Math (grades 7-12). Additionally, she earned her Masters of Professional Studies in Special Education from Manhattanville College, with permanent NY Certification for grades K-12. Robin’s AMI Montessori Elementary Diploma for grades 1-6 is from the Washington Montessori Institute in Washington, DC.

In her free time, she enjoys ice skating, skiing, sailing, hiking, tennis and baseball and spending time with her family; her son attends MSGH.
