Work Along-Side. Hands-On Resources. Parent Toolkit.

Our Parent Education Section is designed to provide support for you in your parenting and give you a solid grounding in the child development wisdom that is at the heart of Montessori philosophy.

Welcome

MSGH staff and families come from many different backgrounds and we enjoy the energy our diversity brings to the community.

Our staff will reach out to you in a variety of ways to familiarize you with what happens in the classroom, offer advice on extending Montessori to your home and support your parenting skills if needed. Please take full advantage of our resources by: attending our Parent Information Series; Family Association activities; Coffee, Tea and M.E. (Montessori Education); and of course, contacting your child’s teacher whenever you have any questions or need more information. It is an exciting time for you and your child and we are committed to providing your family with the best Montessori experience possible.

Parent Handbook

Our Parent Handbook is a guide to our policies and procedures. You will need to familiarize yourself with its contents and use it as a resource during your child’s time with us.

Parent Information Nights

All of our curriculum sessions are hands-on, highly-interactive events that introduce parents to the curriculum at the Toddler, Primary Elementary and Adolescent levels. We want to ensure that families come to understand the Montessori curriculum by having multiple opportunities to experience it firsthand.

It is our hope and belief that as you invest time in the Series, you will become more and more conscious in your parenting, deepen your understanding of your child’s unfolding development, and gain a valuable window into your child’s educational experience. Time and again families have expressed real appreciation for what they have taken home with them. The Series is open to the public and is facilitated primarily by our faculty. We look forward to seeing you there!
